Jerome is a single hill clinging to the side of Mingus Mountain at 5,000–5,400 ft. That elevation is the whole reason the seasons matter here: it's 15–20°F cooler than Phoenix and the Verde Valley floor in summer, 10°F colder than Sedona overnight in winter, and the only Arizona town where snow on the rooftops genuinely happens 2–4 times per typical year. Crowds shift dramatically by season — October weekends are denser than Memorial Day; January Tuesdays feel like you have the town to yourself.
