When guided wins—and when to grab the keys
Go guided when fewer than 4 people are riding, no one wants a $500–$1,500 deposit on their card, no one’s eager to drive the Notch, or Honanki/Palatki is on your list.
Self-drive when 4+ riders split one vehicle, your group is comfortable off-road, and you want to set your own pace and stops.
The deciding factors aren’t only price—they’re seats filled, deposit tolerance, and must-see access. Get those three right and either option is a strong Sedona day; get them wrong and you’ll feel it in your wallet or your back.
